According to a press release by Mastercard on April 16, 2025, it is being claimed that the CSK Masterworld and CSK Master credit cards are passion cards for cricket fans notably Indian Premier League (IPL) teams.
Mastercard said that this card is especially designed for cricket enthusiasts, but it also offers some lifestyle (restaurant dining, hotel stay) and travel benefits (airport lounge access) also.
Mastercard has also mentioned that their collaboration with City Union Bank is limited to co-branded credit cards for two IPL teams –Chennai Super Kings (CSK) and Sunrisers Hyderabad (SRH). - CUB CSK Mastercard Platinum credit card: According to City Union Bank (CUB) website, Master cardholders can get “An official CSK fan Jersey as a welcome gift, but this is subject to a specified spend threshold.” CUB also mentions that these cardholders will also get CSK branded gifts and merchandise discounts, and this benefit is not restricted to any spending-based criteria.
- CUB CSK World Mastercard credit card: According to CUB website, Masterworld credit cardholders can own an original Dhoni No.7 Jersey as a welcome gift, without any spend based criteria. Moreover, the exclusive CSK gifts and merchandise discounts available to Master credit cardholders are also available for Masterworld users.
