SBI special FD interest rates up to 7.75%: March 31, 2025, is the last date to invest in two special fixed deposits

The State Bank of India (SBI) offers a diverse range of special fixed deposit (FD) schemes designed to cater to various sectors of investors. These FD schemes are tailored to meet different financial needs, with some products featuring a specific deadline for investment while others provide greater flexibility with no set end date.For example, deposits like SBI Amrit Vrishti and SBI Amrit Kalash have a defined deadline for investment. This means that investors must commit to these schemes within a specified period.
On the other hand, other special fixed deposits offered by SBI, such as SBI Sarvottam, SBI Green Deposits, and SBI Patron, do not have an investment deadline. These schemes offer a more flexible approach, allowing investors to invest at their convenience without the pressure of closing window.

March 31, 2025: Last date to invest in two SBI special FDs

Below are the details of the two SBI special FDs whose last date to invest ends on March 31, 2025.

SBI Amrit Vrishti: 444 days FD scheme
SBI Amrit Vrishti is a special FD scheme having a tenure of 444 days. The scheme offers 7.25% per annum as an interest rate to general citizens. For senior citizens, the scheme offers an interest rate of 7.75%. The FD scheme is available for investment till March 31, 2025.


SBI Amrit Kalash: 400 days FD scheme
SBI Amrit Kalash is another special FD scheme having a tenure of 400 days. The scheme offers an interest rate of 7.10% per annum. For senior citizens, the FD scheme offers an interest rate of 7.60% per annum.

SBI WECARE
SBI WECARE FD deposit scheme is for senior citizens. The FD scheme offers an additional premium of 50 bps (over and above the existing premium of 50 bps) over the card rate, i.e., 100 bps over the card rate for the public. However, this additional 1% over rate card for public is available on FD having tenure of 5 years to less than 10 years.
Currently, SBI WECARE FD deposit scheme is offering an interest rate of 7.50% per annum for tenors of 5 years to less than 10 years.

Other SBI special FDs with no investment deadlines
SBI Sarvottam FD scheme
SBI Sarvottam FD scheme will earn better interest rates than conventional fixed deposits under this scheme.
Under the SBI Sarvottam term deposit scheme, the bank offers an interest rate of 7.4 per cent per annum for a tenure of two years. For a one-year tenure, the interest rate has been fixed at 7.10 per cent per annum.
Senior citizens will get an additional 50 basis points (bps) premium over the rate of interest provided to the general investors. They will earn an interest rate of 7.9 per cent per annum for fixed deposits maturing in two years. For a year, they will get an interest rate of 7.6 per cent per annum in the bank.

SBI Green Rupee Term Deposit
SBI has launched SBI Green Rupee Term Deposit in an effort to raise cash for funding green activities and projects, as well as to expand the country’s green finance ecosystem.
Under this FD scheme, the bank offers 6.65% per annum on tenure of 1111 Days, 1777 Days. For 2222 Days tenure, the bank offers 6.40% per annum on retail term deposits.

Under the scheme, for senior citizens, the bank offers 7.15% per annum on tenure of 1111 Days, 1777 Days. For 2222 Days tenure, the bank offers 7.40% per annum on retail term deposits.

SBI patron
SBI has decided to launch a new variant of Term Deposit, “SBI Patrons”, for Super Senior Citizens. As per section 194P of the Income Tax Act 1961, resident individuals attaining the age of 80 years or more are considered Super Senior Citizens. Under the ‘SBI Patrons’ scheme, super senior citizens will be offered an interest rate of 10 bps above the card rates applicable for senior citizens.
