HDFC Bank has scheduled essential system maintenance, during which UPI services and certain related transactions will not be available. To ensure uninterrupted banking, HDFC Bank has advised customers to use alternative payment options such as PayZapp wallet.
When is HDFC Bank UPI scheduled maintenance?
HDFC Bank’s UPI services will be unavailable on April 12, 2025 from 02:30 AM to 06:30 AM, with a total downtime of 4 hours. The bank claims that this system upgrade is aimed at improving the efficiency, security, and performance of its digital services.

Which services will be affected during the scheduled downtime?
Below is a list of the UPI services which will be affected on April 12, 2025.
· UPI payments using HDFC Bank Current and Savings Accounts
· UPI linked with RuPay Credit Cards
· Transactions made through the HDFC Bank Mobile Banking App
· UPI payments made via Third-Party Apps (TPAPs) supported by HDFC Bank
· Merchant UPI transactions processed through HDFC Bank
What is PayZapp?
PayZapp, powered by HDFC Bank, is a secure digital wallet and virtual card that allows users to make seamless payments online and offline. It can be used for mobile recharges and utility bill payments, online shopping and bookings and sending money without using a bank account directly.The payment options offered by PayZapp include Credit Card, Debit Card, UPI and PayZapp wallet. You can link multiple cards and accounts to PayZapp, with the option to delink them whenever needed.
Kotak Mahindra Bank maintenance
In addition to HDFC Bank, Kotak Mahindra Bank has also scheduled their second maintenance window on April 12 2025, from 1:00 AM to 4:00 AM. During this timeframe, a broader range of services will be unavailable across mobile banking, net banking, phone banking, and the Kotak website.
Kotak Mahindra Bank services that will be affected on April 12, 2025
Affected services include transaction limit modifications, activation or deactivation of card usage, card blocking and unblocking, changing the primary account, and account linking or delinking. Customers will also be unable to request new cards, close existing cards, or register for tokenization services on Google Pay and Samsung Pay. Services related to PIN regeneration and card enquiry and verification will also be temporarily disabled.
