Are banks open on May 3, 2025?

Banks in India will be working as usual today, May 3, 2025. This is because today is the first Saturday of the month. Banks have regular working hours on the first, third, and fifth Saturdays of every month.

How bank holidays impact you

Bank holidays usually impact certain banking services, such as in-branch banking, cheque clearances, fund transfers via NEFT/RTGS done via bank branch, and loan processing or approvals. While the ATMs, online banking, and mobile banking services typically remain operational, any physical banking or documentation requirements should be planned in advance.

When are banks closed in May 2025?

Banks will be closed on the occasion of Maharashtra Din/May Day (Labor Day) on May 1, Rabindranath Tagore’s birthday on May 9, Buddha Pournima on May 12, State Day on May 16, Kazi Nazrul Islam’s birthday on May 26, and Maharana Pratap Jayanti on May 29.
