RuPay cards offers upto Rs 3000 cashback on shopping in foreign countries till this date

The National Payments Corporation of India’s (NPCI) RuPay card network has a limited-time special cashback offer scheme for both RuPay credit and debit cardholders. The scheme, which offers cashback for shopping in select foreign countries, is ending soon. During the offer period, customers will receive 25% cashback, upto a limit, on in-store point-of-sale purchases made at merchants accepting RuPay JCB credit and debit cards in countries like Japan, Singapore, Indonesia, and the Philippines.
According to the NPCI website, “This limited-period offer will be valid from October 30, 2024, to January 29, 2025.”

What is the maximum cashback limit

The maximum amount of the cashback, which will be credited in Indian Rupees, is Rs 3,000 per purchase. During the scheme period, a single card can earn up to Rs 15,000 in cashback. There is no minimum amount of transaction to receive cashback. Note that the offer is not transferable and non-negotiable

RuPay JCB Global Card

To receive the benefits of this offer, the RuPay cardholder must activate their RuPay JCB Global Card for international transactions by contacting their card issuing bank or through the bank’sir branch banking, phone banking, mobile banking, or net banking services.
To activate a RuPay JCB card for international transactions, you can:
· Contact the issuing your bank’s phone banking, net banking, or branch
· Log in to the your bank’s app or netbanking
· Go to the debit or credit section and activate itThe following transactions will not be eligible for cashback under the scheme
Incomplete, declined, invalid, returned, disputed or unauthorized, fraudulent transactions will not be considered for the offer.

When will cashback be credited?

The cashback amount will be credited to the RuPay JCB Global Cardholder’s respective bank account via his/her card issuing bank within 60 days of the campaign period in which the transaction was completed.

When NPCI will not be be responsible for transaction failure transactions?

According to the NPCI website, “National Payments Corporation of India (NPCI) will not be responsible or liable in case the transaction could not be done due to but not limited to malfunction, delay, traffic congestion on any telephone network or line, computer on-line system, servers or providers, computer equipment, software, or website.
NPCI will not be liable for any issues on account of incorrect swipes done at the merchant location accepting the RuPay JCB Global Card (Debit/Credit) or for any technical problems with swipe machines at any merchant location accepting the RuPay JCB Global Card.”
