Punjab National Bank has hiked fixed deposit interest rates on select tenures for general citizens, senior and super senior citizens by up to 50 basis points (bps) for amounts below Rs 2 crore. The new rates are effective from November 1, 2023.
Latest Punjab National Bank FD rates
For general citizens, PNB offers FD interest rates between 3.05% to 7.25% for tenure ranging between 7 days to 10 years. The highest interest rate of 7.25% is offered on tenure of 444 days.The bank has hiked FD interest rate by 50 bps from 5.50% to 6% on 180 to 270 days tenure and by 45 bps on tenure of 271 Days to less than 1 Year from 5.80% to 6.25% for general citizens.
Punjab National Bank latest FD rates for senior citizens
According to the PNB website, “The Senior citizens of age 60 years and up to 80 years shall get an additional rate of interest of 50 bps over applicable card rates for a period up to 5years and 80bps for a period above 5 years on domestic deposits of less than Rs. 2 Crore.”
PNB offers FD interest rates between 4% to 7.75% for tenure ranging between 7 days to 10 years. The highest interest rate of 7.75% is offered on a tenure of 444 days.
For senior citizens, the bank has hiked FD rates by 50 bps from 6% to 6.50% on 180 to 270 days tenure and by 45 bps on a tenure of 271 Days to less than 1 Year from 6.30% to 6.75%.

Super Senior Citizens of age 80 years and above shall get additional rate of interest of 80bps over applicable card rate across all maturity buckets.
PNB offers FD interest rates between 4.30% to 8.05% for tenure ranging between 7 days to 10 years. The highest interest rate of 8.05% is offered on tenure of 444 days.
While for super senior citizens the bank has hiked the FD rate by 50 bps from 6.30% to 6.80% on 180 to 270 days tenure and by 45 bps on tenure of 271 Days to less than 1 Year from 6.60% to 7.05%.
