The Central Pension Accounting Office (CPAO) has developed an in-house mobile application, “DIRGHAYU” for the use of Central Civil Pensioner/Family Pensioners. One of the main features of the DIRGHAYU app is that pensioners can now view the last 24 detailed pension payment transactions along with its breakup.

What are the features of DIRGHAYU app for pensioners
DIRGHAYU Mobile App has following features as per an Office Memorandum issued by the Department of Expenditure on March 8, 2024:
- Online registration of pensioners on the basis of PPO. date of Birth and date of Retirement.
- It gives the personal and retirement benefits details mentioned in the PPO.
- Facility to download SSAs along with revised pension authorities.
- Pensioners can register and track the status of the grievances registered on CPAO website, thus pensioners can access another tool of grievance resolution.
- The App shows the last 24 transitions related to pension and monthly hank accounts statements also.
- A security feature is available at the time of registration of pensioners to verify them through mobile OTP
Through its mobile app, the Central Pension Accounting Office (CPAO) offers stake pensioners a number of services. Pensioners can utilise the DIRGHAYU Pensioners’ Mobile App developed by CPAO to access a range of services.
Requirements to register
Pensioners and their families can register on the DIRGHAYU mobile app by entering their PPO number, date of birth, and retirement date (or date of death, if they are a family pensioner).
Security features of DIRGHAYU app
- OTP: App registration is based on OTP
- MPIN: Allows user to control access to personal information
- Privacy: App us protected from unauthorized access, tampering, modification of data.
- Read only mode: Ensures that app is used for displaying information only.
CPAO
CPAO deals with pension cases of Central Civil Pensioners viz. pension cases of Hon’ble President/Vice President, Member of Parliament, Judges of Supreme Court/High Court, AIS officers, freedom fighters, UTs and Delhi Administration. These classes of pensioners are covered under different Rules as given below. CPAO does not deal with pension work of Railways, Posts, Telecom, Defense, State Govts, and PSU.
What is PPO
Pension Payment Order (PPO) is a unique 12-digit code provided to each pensioner. This unique 12-digit number serves as a reference identifier for all Employee Pension Scheme (EPS) transactions and correspondence.
How to find your PPO number
Step 1: Log on to www.epfindia.gov.in
Step 2: Under Online service, click on the Pensioner’s portal
Step 3: You will be redirected to the ‘Welcome to Pensioners Portal. ‘Click ‘Know your PPO number’ which is mentioned on the right side of the page
Step 4: Enter either your bank account number or PF number.
