Banks are closed for 14 days in May 2024, according to the Reserve Bank of India (RBI) holiday list. There are state-specific celebrations, national holidays, and significant observances among these holidays.
Nonetheless, handling financial activities even over the holidays is now easier thanks to contemporary digital banking options. Note that banks in India observe normal weekly holidays, which include closing on Sundays and the second and fourth Saturdays of the month.
The Reserve Bank of India (RBI) designates certain holidays under the Negotiable Instruments Act, Real-Time Gross Settlement (RTGS) holidays, and Banks’ Closing of Accounts.
