May 17, 2025

Getting your documents in order is a crucial step to starting your academic journey at Delhi University. Delhi University (DU) is in the midst of its admission season for undergraduate programs, attracting thousands of students from across India. If you’re aiming to secure a seat in one of DU’s prestigious undergraduate courses—such as Bachelor of Arts (BA), Bachelor of Science (BSc), Bachelor of Commerce (BCom), or any other undergraduate course offered by Delhi University—you’ll need to ensure your documentation is in order.

The DU admission process for 2025 relies heavily on the Common University Entrance Test (CUET UG) and the DU Common Seat Allocation System (CSAS). Proper documentation is a critical step to confirm your admission.

The documents list mentioned above are taken from the Delhi University’s website. At times, colleges under Delhi University at times may have special requirements regarding the documents. Hence, you should also check the documents list from the college where you have got the seat to get the required documents.

Steps to prepare Your documents

Start early: Gather your documents as soon as you register through the Common Seat Allocation System (CSAS) portal. The admission process is ongoing, so now is the time to prepare.

Ensure all certificates are issued by recognized authorities. DU may reject invalid or tampered documents.
Scan all documents and save them as PDFs. You’ll need to upload them during the CSAS registration process.
Visit the DU admission portal (admission.uod.ac.in) for the latest guidelines. The web results provide a helpdesk number (011-27006900) and email (ug@admission.du.ac.in) for undergraduate admission queries.

Admissions to all Undergraduate Programs at the University of Delhi will be based on the scores obtained in CUET (UG) – 2025, except for admissions to the School of Open Learning (SOL), Non-Collegiate Women Education Board (NCWEB) and for Foreign Nationals.

Admission is subject to the candidate’s fulfilling the eligibility requirements prescribed for applying to the concerned program of study. In case a candidate does not meet any of the eligibility criteria prescribed for applying to the concerned program and appears in the entrance test, it is at the candidate’s own risk and cost.
