Punjab National Bank (PNB) has now made WhatsApp banking services available to both its customers and non-customers. Others like SBI and HDFC Bank already have this facility.
How to activate PNB banking services on WhatsApp
According to a press release issued by PNB, “To activate the banking facility on WhatsApp, customers need to first save the official PNB’s WhatsApp number +919264092640 in their phone book and initiate a conversation (on WhatsApp) by sending a “Hi” to this number. Before starting a conversation, customer must ensure to check “green tick” along with Punjab National Bank’s profile name on WhatsApp to ensure that this is a genuine Punjab National Bank’s WhatsApp Banking Account.”

Please note that in order to verify that this is a legitimate Punjab National Bank’s WhatsApp Banking Account before beginning a conversation, customers must make sure to check the “green tick” next to the profile name of Punjab National Bank on WhatsApp.
Step 3: A message with Menu will appear as a response message. You can start using all the available services offered by Punjab National Bank instantly using the menu.

Save the Chat Banking number 7070022222 in your contacts. Enter the last 4 digit customer ID and a one-time password that you received via SMS to your registered mobile number.
SBI WhatsApp banking number
To avail this service through SBI WhatsApp Banking, you must first register. Send an SMS to 7208933148 with the text WAREG, your account number, and a space between them. One thing you must remember is to send this SMS from the same phone number that is listed on your SBI account.
