The central government has extended the deadline for eligible farmers to complete mandatory eKYC under the Pradhan Mantri Kisan Samman Nidhi from March 31, 2022, to May 22, 2022.
Earlier this month, Aadhar-based eKYC through OTP Authentication was temporarily suspended and the same was mentioned on the PM Kisan website. In such a case, it was suggested to opt for biometric authentication for eKYC by visiting CSC centres.

The beneficiary can also complete eKYC offline by visiting a Common Service Center (CSC) with an Aadhaar card. Request the operator and explain that you want to finalise your biometric authentication and eKYC.
Now, the PM Kisan eligible beneficiaries can update the KYC online through the PM Kisan website.
According to the PM kisan website, “eKYC is MANDATORY for PMKISAN Registered Farmers. OTP Based eKYC is available on PMKISAN Portal. You may also contact nearest CSC centres for Biometric authentication based eKYC. Deadline of eKYC for all the PMKISAN beneficiaries has been extended till 31st May 2022.”

Eligible farmers must update their KYC using online or offline methods in order to receive the next instalment.
How to do OTP based eKYC
Step 1: Visit PM Kisan website
Step 2: Under farmers corner, click on eKYC tab
Step 3: In next page, enter your Aadhaar number and click on Search tab
4-digit OTP will be sent to registered mobile number
Step 4: Click on Submit OTP
Step 5: Enter Aadhaar registered mobile OTP
On January 1, 2022, the 10th instalment of the PM-Kisan programme was be released. It is believed that 11th installment will be released anytime soon.
