The State Bank of India (SBI) and NPCI Bharat BillPay have partnered to onboard SBI NCMC cards on the Bharat BillPay platform to further improve traveller convenience.
According to the NPCI press release dated April 18, 2024, this will make it easier for users to top up or recharge their cards online, preventing long lines and guaranteeing a hassle-free experience.Where can it be used now?
With SBI NCMC cards for Noida Metro, Nagpur Metro, MMRDA Line 2A & 7, Chennai Metro, Kanpur Metro, and Parliament Canteen via the bank’s Bharat BillPay-enabled application, SBI Unipay, the category is now operational, and other frontend platforms will shortly go live with the service.
How will it be useful for customers?
With the addition of the National Common Mobility Card (NCMC) Recharge to the biller category, users can simply top up or recharge their cards online, skipping lengthy lines and guaranteeing a hassle-free experience.
Through Bharat BillPay-enabled portals, which offer a variety of payment methods like prepaid, debit, and credit cards, customers may conveniently top up their NCMC cards with up to Rs 10,000 online. Consumers only need to tap their NCMC card on the machine to update their balance after a successful recharge.
