How to check SBI CIF number: Here are 4 ways

Customer information file, or CIF, is one of the most important terms in the banking industry. It basically refers to a person’s bank information that banks use to run their accounts. An 11-digit number is used to denote the CIF. This file contains data about the customer’s loans, account, KYC information, such as his residence, identifying information, and photo ID evidence, etc,.

CIF is an important number for State Bank of India customers, and it is printed in the passbook or on the first page of the cheque book that is issued to them when they create an account.

How to know SBI CIF number from SBI internet banking

The net banking option provided here is one of the most significant things that people may do to find out their SBI Bank account’s CIF number. The best part about net banking is that it eliminates the need for people to visit branches in order to obtain their account information.

Step 1: Go to https://retail.onlinesbi.com/retail/login.htm to access SBI’s net banking site.

Step 2: Go to the ‘My Account’ tab and then to the ‘Profile’ tab.

Step 3: Select ‘account summary’ from the drop-down menu.

Step 4: Select ‘View Nomination and PAN’ from the drop-down menu.

Step 5: The CIF number is available on the following screen.

You can also find out by looking at the account statement summary. Select the account number and the statement period for the account. After that, press the Submit button. The account statement will include the CIF number.

How to know SBI CIF number from SBI Yono Lite

Step 1: Open the SBI Yono App and log in with your account information.

Step 2: Navigate to the Services tab.

Step 3: On the following screen, select Online Nomination.

Step 4: Change the account type to “transaction account.”

Step 5: Your CIF number will be visible in the account statement.

How to know SBI CIF number by calling customer care

Customer Service- Call the SBI helpline to get your CIF number. After connecting the call, the executive may ask you for details to authenticate your identification. Then you can ask them for a CIF number. SBI customer care can be reached at 1800112211 or 18004253800.

How to know SBI CIF number via SMS

There is currently no direct way to send a message and know your CIF number. You must first register your bank account with your email address. An e-statement request can be readily submitted via SMS. On your e-statement, you’ll find your CIF number. Simply send an SMS from your registered mobile number to receive the e-statement. Simply open the PDF file to view your CIF number when you receive an e-statement.
